StartUp Wins Big 12 Venture Contest

AUSTIN, TX -- MacuClear Corp. won the Big 12 Venture Championship competition program for best start up.

The company, which is in the early stages of developing a pharmaceutical solution to macular degeneration, received $10,000, launch advice from a panel of venture capitalists and will advance to a global Moot Court competition in May.

The Big 12 Venture Championship is hosted by the Big 12 Center for Economic Development, Innovation and Commercialization, a group made up of twelve universities across seven states.
